Dust

Can you believe we came all the way to California and Yosemite was closed. Well, not the whole park but our way in from where we're staying at Midpines. There was a bad mud slide yesterday but thank goodness no casualties. We could have taken a different but much longer route but in the end decided on less driving and more local stuff in the nearest town, Mariposa.

This horse lives on the ranch where we're staying. He is a black Arab stallion and has sired foals all over the world. He has just had a dust bath. His mask is to stop flies from bothering him and is, in my opinion, rather creepy.

The temperature is still in the high 80s. Hot.
