So a quick sprint across town at dawn; and logged on. Prep then out to the office to meet my chaperone for the morning; we trekked to Gilmerton and East Craigs and then parted; I did a bunch of stuff around Meadowbank before joining her for lunch.

And into rain for a brisk afternoon sprint around EH6 (inc chance encounter with arclight and wander round the ESW at Hawthornvale - that's the photo); before sun broke through and I finally wound my way home.

Briefly did paperwork before heading back out to see her; we did last minute shopping for her camping trip to North Berwick and then retired to the sunny Meadows (that's the extra) for shiraz and nibbles; then back to hers for chicken with mozzarella yoghurt (not Greek) basil parsley chill orange zest and grated carrots and beetroot. Tastes earthy and uplifting.

Then home to the strains of Lionel Ritchie before collapsing, unable even to stay awake for the tour highlights....
