Fun in the Fairy Glen

Had a great day in the Fairy Glen with David looking for witches and trolls for his next book, found a few. A few plants out, a few fungi and several birds including ducks on the pond , a buzzard and lots of chaffinch.
We spent a long time by the little pond watching the house martins and the damsel flies. We were hoping for dragonflies but had to wait for our return journey when we saw one near the bridge. It was muddy in parts but not too bad. It was windy and a rotten branch fell to the side of us making a splash in the water.
I sat on one of the rocks near the first waterfall while David walked up to the second.
We ate our rolls on a log and our doughnut watching the ducks preen on the log in the middle of the pond.
David had to have a quick swing before we came home :)
Most of the day was sunny and we made it back to the car just before the rain started.
The Pine marten came earlier so decided to use my very last extra with a photo of him as it's not very often that I get a daytime shot.
