A Splash of Colour
Just what we needed to chase away the cold weather, a little bit of warm sunshine!
The mornings and evenings drop below zero, but around midday it goes up to 20 degrees. Just gives us enough time to thaw before the cold night arrives.
This beautiful poppy is just outside my office and the photo is SOOTC.Everything just seemed right in this shot; light, colour, background, detail! There are a few poppies in bloom now and this one was attracting a lot of attention from a bee. In the end I chose a photo without a bee in it. I thought the petals looked like crinckle paper!
Today I have been working on our school's website. We have the big task of creating and updating our website. Lots of photos needed!!! I better get clicking!!
EDIT:
We found out today that three children from the nearby safe haven died in a fire last night. They were sleeping in an outside facility which burnt down in minutes. We heard that they were three brothers who had been living at the haven for a year now since their mother passed away. They have a little sister who is now the last surviving member of their family.
This is such a tragic story and makes me heart so sad!
