Fisherman's Wharf, Victoria

Today we visited Victoria on Vancouver Island. Victoria is the capital of British Columbia. We took a river taxi to Fisherman's Wharf to see these amazing, colourful floating houses. The weather was fabulous and we sat in the harbour eating fish and chips.

The main harbour centre of Victoria (see extra) has a great atmosphere, with lots of buskers and street entertainers. Everyone is very relaxed and friendly. I could get used to it here!

On the way back we stopped at Oak Bay where we saw a painted piano (see extra) by the beach with a notice saying "please play me" - such a lovely sight to see.

Another stop off for me and Mr M to have a swim in a lake - the water was so warm and clean.

A another great day in a very varied holiday.
