Banana growing at Ingham

Lots of banana plantations around here . The bags encourage ripening and keep the fruit bats away. After the bunch is cut the trunk is cut to about a metre above the ground and this helps to feed the new sucker
One of those eventually ends up every day on a plate in Ellisfields Court !!
