Through the looking glass....

This idea I saved from my experimentation on Tuesday although, of course, I have redone the shot with today's date on it!  In fact, the lighting is the complete opposite today - dark, cloudy and wet as compared with bright and sunny - that the colours have turned out completely different although it's the same flower!

The glass I used to focus through is a heavily dimpled tumbler I bought for not very much in a local 'cheap' shop.  I thought it might come in handy for photography - and for drinking out of possibly.  I used the 105 macro lens and focussed on the flower as best I could through the two layer of glass, although I did want the 'abstract' effect.

I have been Room Warden at Waddesdon Manor today which wasn't the weather for visitors to casually saunter around the grounds!  Hence, the House was very busy!  I like it that way though as there's always someone to talk to and interested in hearing the little gems of knowledge I have picked up.
