Flowers for Friday

The Philadelphus has been wonderful this year but is just beginning to go, so I thought I'd blip it while it is still pretty. I love the white and green together - and the orange blossom scent is lovely.

We picked soft fruit at a nearby farm today - 3 baskets of raspberries, my favourite fruit which I freeze to use in winter, and two punnets of redcurrants. We have enough blackcurrants of our own.

The plasterer has finished, so while the walls dry out Mr C is painting the ceiling.

I'm going to read my next book "The Women of the Cousins' War", about the Wars of the Roses. And I might have a glass of white wine.
