Day by Day

Ducan

Today was a serious hike for our standards. As the weather forecast predicted showers already for mid afternoon, we started early at 0730am. There was a strong thunderstorm and heavy rain last night in that area and as expected the trail was in some exposed areas washed away or covered with stones.

We walked from our place to the end of the valley (Davos Sertig Sand), ascended 1000m along the Ducantal up to the Fanezfurgga which is the passage to the neighbouring Monstein valley.

From there we let it "roll" down to Monstein alp and village afterwards. Lunch at Veltlinerstube at 1pm. A cold beer from the local Monsteiner micro brewery, traditional pasta/potatoe/cheese dish (Älpermagronen) and the homemade blueberry pie helped us to continue walking another 2.5 hours back home.

A glas of Rosé outside until the rain came, a hot bath and off we went (walking) for dinner at Clavadel. Even the Fitbit is tired now (50'000 steps, 450 floors). Personal best ever :)
