Soft as thistledown.....
Everything was very still along the river this morning, the calm before the storm. Not even a breath of wind to disperse the thistledown, which was flexed with pent up energy, waiting for the breeze to release it. I was glad to fit in my walk before the rain arrived, heavy and relentless, but so needed. I can almost see the garden heaving a sigh of relief as it imbibes the precious moisture.
