Flower Friday and Apricot Dumplings

We had a lazy morning sitting around in the sunshine hearing about Hubby’s sister’s adventures in Amsterdam. They took off in the afternoon to the underwater park by the local lake to watch the otters feeding while I cooked. I made hamburgers to BBQ in the evening and a pavlova rollade with raspberries for afternoon tea tomorrow. For tonight I made a traditional Austrian dessert for our visitors - apricot dumplings made with a type of cream cheese dough and smothered with bread crumbs fried in butter. It is not my favourite dessert and was a bit heavy after hamburgers “with the lot” but they turned out perfectly. Fortunately it is Flower Friday and Hubby had bought me some roses yesterday as I hadn’t given Blip a thought during the day. Thanks BikerBear.
