Interstate-5 Whilamut Passage Bridge
Walking with friends today on the Willamette River trails.
The I-5 bridge over the Willamette River is called the Whilamut Passage Bridge and is quite new having been completed in 2013.
A mural, depicting Kalapuya tribal people on the river, adorns the underside of the north bridge abutment.
There is a pleasant place alongside the pedestrian path to sit and contemplate life along the Willamette River as the I-5 traffic rumbles overhead.
Certainly not the usual highway bridge underside.
