Mt. Washington Hotel

Jon and I are having a weekend in the northern part of New Hampshire because our friend's son is getting married at this grand hotel.  Though the weather is a little unsettled, the views have been spectacular. Spot showers that led to a double rainbow during the pre-wedding party on the terrace of the hotel.  I can only imagine what this was like a couple of centuries ago when the very wealthy would come up from Boston to enjoy the scenery and "healthy air".  The trip would have been long (it's about 180 miles), we had our own troubles with a one lane road and two stoplights, the last 35 miles taking almost as long as the first 100.  At any rate, it's a beautiful spot for us to share a special time with a very special couple. There is an extra too which has taken forever to download and the wedding will be on Saturday evening.
