Cowes Harbour

My sister came down from Surrey for a quick visit today, and we all met in Cowes for lunch. The America's Cup series is racing off of Portsmouth this weekend, and we were hoping to see some of the big yachts, but unfortunately they never came our way. Cowes harbour, however was full, it is gearing up for Cowes Week, a huge sailing regatta which starts on the 8th August.  There are also lots of yachts, which have been cleaned and serviced, ready for racing, that were waiting to be put in the water.  Between the 8th-15th August the Solent will be full of boats, all racing, it really is a sight to see, and the atmosphere in Town is great, really relaxed although there are far too many people and lots of music and entertainment playing.

The Town was buzzing today, with lots of buskers playing, it was nice.
