Hello, and Welcome to My Lily Pond!

These are the days of dragons and damsels, and so I sometimes go out stalking them with my camera. They fly around and around the lily pond at the Arboretum, but sometimes they don't seem to want to sit down long enough to pose for a shot.

This little fellow, however, was different. He or she seemed like the self-appointed "welcome wagon" for the lily pond. I enjoyed its little self-assured, welcoming "smile," (for it surely looks like it is smiling!) as well as the tiny hairs on its legs.
