Rosie and Jim

It has been a beautiful sunny day today in contrast to yesterday's rain.

Though there were lots of things that I should  have been doing, I didn't want to waste the sunshine so walked from Ellesmere along the canal then round Colemere and back to Ellesmere.

I saw a wren with youngsters and a jay family making a loud din (though not as loud as the family with booming voices, their children that will  never need a loud hailer and a constantly barking dog). Fortunately I was able to get away as I was encouraged to walk quickly to escape the racket. (I'm not really an old misery, honest!)

There were lots of butterflies and dragonflies around, the extra photo is a comma. I was looking at a little bug on a flower when a damselfly flew in and ate it!
