Pyronia tithonus/ Gatekeeper.

I came across, and unfortunately disturbed, this beauty with it's wings open wide and resting on a lavender flower. As I passed near, it quickly flew off, but only got as far as the passionflower plant. Fortunately, it stayed there for a few minutes, initially with its wings closed, but finally opening up again in time for me to take a shot.
