Quiet Walk
The walk today took in the Leeds Liverpool Canal - Gill Bottom and Snaygill - as we approached this bend commented to R it very quiet and still
Famous last words - as we rounded this bend - a pheleton of cyclists passed us by at speed - discovered gridlock at the swing bridge - hadn't seen a barge for about a mile - and then there were eight - queuing two abreast- waiting for the bridge to open - staff sat outside a canal side hotel - were enjoying a break - amid much chatter and laughter - we turned into a country lane where we were discovered by the local coal merchant - driving to visit to his daughter - and wanting to know what we were up to
So much for a quiet walk
Thank you for the comments - stars - and hearts - given for my Haworth blip - much appreciated - can still get my head through the door:)
