Bike Trip
The sun was shining when I opened the curtains this morning which was good cos there was a cycling trip planned to Boat of Garten and much more pleasant in the sun than the rain! There was a slight detour of track for a couple of miles but back on again before long.
The countryside is beautiful around here with so many proper cycle and walking paths. It was around 8 miles to Boat of Garten and Ben did so well for a four year old. No moans or whines just loving the freedom of the open countryside whizzing along the paths on the bike .
Arrived at Boat of Garten and as we were thirsty stopped for coffee and cake in a wee Cafe just up from the station. Ben and I wandered around the station for an hour or so while Stewart and Cameron cycled back to Aviemore for the car and come and take us back to the hotel. It was just a bit much for Ben to cycle back as well...
We had a bit of a rest before tea time at 6pm. Cameron went to the kids club at the Fun House for a couple of hours while we took Ben to Loch an Eilein for a walk.
All exhausted by 9.30 with all that fresh air!
