Pick of the Peas

Finally a butterfly!  But then the weather has been so horrendous for these winged beauties - you might say it makes everything grow like mad, but the creatures that 'NEED' these plants to survive aren't able to feed when it rains - constantly!  And it's meant to rain all tomorrow too, just to be different!

Anyhow - this peacock butterfly was sunning itself on the lichen covered bench in the garden and with my new lens attached, it really picked out the pattern and not to mention the colour - so sharp!  This lens and I were meant to be methinks! :) xxx
