Philip

A year ago today I said my final farewells to my darling Philip, surrounded by family and friends at his funeral.

It has been a hard year, with plenty of lows and also some positives to hold on to. It would have been unbearable without the continuing support of family and friends - both near and far.

I met some of my 'far away' friends in Birmingham today (extra photo). I had time between arriving on the train and our meeting and I spent a little time in St Martin's church where I lit a candle for the light of my life. I then saw this wonderful display at the other end of New Street - such poignancy today. Especially the beautiful agapanthus in amongst the poppies.
