Perfect Day

They come along from time to time.   Our dear friend Helen who has featured here often including with us on the Amazon and the Nile is in residence with us. We had a leisurely morning, each to our own in different areas of the house, before heading up to the restaurant at the top of the town who have now hung my short story about them on the wall.  

The red wine (Ramon Bilbao, 100% tempranillo) was better than excellent and accompanied us through a long lunch from spinach with cream to shavings of parmesan with bread and coffee.  

We strolled back down the hill before a quick change of clothes and exit to Gaudi's La Pedrera building where we enjoyed jazz and cava on the rooftop before returning to our barrio for tapas and bed.
