Advertising from the past

Met up with an old friend today and had really good catch up starting with a visit to a craft open day in a local village, lovely coffee and lemon drizzle cake!

I spotted this walking along the village street , the gentlemen whose barn it was stopped to talk to us , he said that they are all original signs.

How very different from todays advertising hoardings, there was no doubt in those days as to what was being advertised , not like today!
