The Teeny Tiny Wedding

We watched this very tall (6’10”? ) kid grow up near us at the island.   He and his college sweetheart just graduated from college and today they got married….. On the beach at the end of the bay at 6 PM.  H and I were the only other people present in the bay right  now so we sat on our dock to watch this very private affair —10 family members —.  Only my 200mm can’t quite do it justice- -sorry - it’s more than 500m away - but I thot I’d record it anyway.  The rain stayed away altho it was cloudy and cool and windy.   H and I had fuzzies on .  The groom's Mom and Dad are on the left….. I liked the photographer in this photo who came from Vancouver (the bride and groom came over last night to get our car keys to pick her up at the ferry  this afternoon! she still needs to get back to the ferry tonight….)  and at 3:30 this afternoon the groom came over to print a picture of one of the grandparents.. who were represented by photos ( on the table in the back)..  I’ve included the “aisle” of flowers stuck in the sand.   The “Wedding commissioner” lives on this island.   

So there you have it…the event of the day. (Other than a good morning walk around the island with blipper friend Islandcat). They were pretty cute - and oh so young…… We’ll go meet the players tomorrow…..
