Eye See You

This shot is the opening picture from the works of Shirin Neshat, a photographer and film maker, who explores the nuances of power and identity in the Muslim world, in particular in her native country, Iran. I was most impressed by her poster sized headshots featured in two series: The Book of Kings and Our House is On Fire. For us photographers, these portraits are definitely something to aspire to, for their life-likeness and the humanity they exude. Catch the exhibit if you can!
