South Downs
At last a sunny dry day and it coincided with a walk that I'd planned with my former boss, something we do every three or four months either in London where he lives or in Sussex. Today we set off from Lewes station at 08.30 for an excellent 18 mile circular downland walk with a very nice lunch at the Juggs in Kingston. Saw quite a few chalkhill blue butterflies and a red kite - this is about as far east as they've reached. I was quite impressed that my knee held up for 18 miles, not sure the physiotherapist will approve.
