Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

By Carol

2015 Friday -- Cambria, CA

It felt like Thursday all day long; then occasionally I'd realize, "Hey, it's Friday, not Thursday." Sheeeeesh!

I suggested to Mr. Fun that we eat lunch at the "Shine Cafe" because we were already going to Morro Bay to do a little shopping. So we did. When we finished eating, we walked across the street to a classy little thrift store called "Fabulous Finds." We're looking for a Hollywood bed frame so we can furnish our new little guest room.

They did not have what we needed, so as we exited the room, we saw across the street a sign that announced, "Kitchens, Bathrooms, and Wallbeds." I looked at Mr. Fun and said, "Hey, let's walk across the street and see what this is about."

The long and short of it is that we have found a master cabinet maker who will come to our little tiny beach shack; he'll sit down with us to discuss how we work in the kitchen, the way we need our kitchen to function, and he will design a kitchen for us, not just make cabinets. I am very excited about this new discovery.

From there we headed north to the community of Cambria to the Friday afternoon Farmers Market to purchase a couple jars of Stephanie's delicious soup. From other vendors, I also purchased carrots, tomatoes, purple onions, and a bouquet of sunflowers.

Then we drove to the Cambria shoreline where we found some of the creamiest ocean foam.

It's been a good Friday,
even if it felt like a Thursday,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
