Early Morning Light over Christchurch

I loved the slivers of light that the sun was making over Christchurch's CBD this morning, with the Southern Alps in the distance. It was a big ask for this particular lens, but the built-in stabilisation in the camera helped lots.

Talking about cameras, this morning I went and looked at a pre-distribution model of the new Sony a7R II. What a camera! and how tempting. I'm thinking very hard about switching completely from Nikon to Sony. 

I'm still making progress, after the bug! What a relief.
