Going Home
Dusty (a.k.a. Droogmobile) waits patiently to be driven on to the ferry at Belfast.
PapaDroog and I had bidden goodbye to the Republic and crossed the border at Belleek for our journey through the Fermanagh lakelands to Belfast. I wish I had a better pic to post, but it rained heavily all the way, especially in Enniskillen, where rain really seemed to have it in for us.
In Belfast, we visited Titanic Belfast. This is a must-see if you are interested in ships drowning, along with most of their passengers, on their maiden voyages. Actually, it is a fascinating way to spend a couple of hours on a rainy afternoon in Belfast and there are plenty of those. It is, however, overpriced, especially the food. For all that, I enjoyed it and PapaDroog enjoyed the gift shop.
It had been an interesting holiday in the same sense that the Chinese wish you to live in interesting times, but now it was over and it was time to sail back to England.
