St. Nicholas Place. Kings Norton
Back Blip
Today’s blip shows a Tudor Merchants house with the 15C tower and spire of this beautiful church in the background. These are two of the buildings that form St Nicholas Place on The Green, Kings Norton. These buildings have survived virtually intact since the 15C. The church chancel does have two windows that are believed to date from the 12C.
The church provided a stunning setting for the marriage of Helen and Ben and I can only hope they both enjoyed the celebration as much as we did. Afterwards we travelled a few miles to a farm and fishery location that sported a yurt (see extras) that comfortably accommodated 80 people for the reception together with a number of “activities” to entertain guests plus a very talented busker (see extras).
