Farewell Steve

Back at the end of May, Steve let me take his picture for my blip.

Sadly, Steve died yesterday as a result of a motorbike accident on his way to Le Mans.

Everyone at work is exceptionally saddened, but this must be nothing in comparison to the loss his wife, son and daughter must feel.

We were all informed this morning in person, and an email from our company owner, who was travelling when he was informed, wasn't far behind. I have lifted a few words from his email that seemed to be exceptionally apt.

"In every way I can think of, Steve lit up our company with the shining light of his positive, enthusiastic and fun-filled personality.

He always had a positive outlook and I was honoured and humbled by his faith and trust in what we are trying to achieve.

Steve was a truly wonderful man and he leaves many friends behind here at Wirth Research, many of whom will be as shocked and saddened as Louise and I are."
