Our last day!  What a fabulous tour!

Upon my request, the tour guide and driver were immediately replaced.  Of course, going along with my mood, the weather improved overnight.  Aside from the usual colonial buildings, Independence Square, a Buddhist ashram (is there any other kind?), and the magnificent Town Hall, we were invited for coffee by the manager of the touring company who was the contact of the Dutch travel agency we booked with.  Everything we had paid the guide which we shouldn't have been charged was duly refunded.  All's well that ends well.  I am more than ever convinced that there are times when you should trumpet with your trunk.

Sri Lanka is a fab country!  We will visit again one day, for sure!
