The culprit

After a boozy night out no2 son and his girlfriend took the lift up to their flat. He thought it would be rather funny to try and scare his girlfriend by jumping up and down in the lift to make it judder. All it did was stop, between floors! No one answered the emergency call button so they had to call the fire brigade. Four burly firemen duly arrived in their fire engine within half an hour and managed to pull the to safety. They weren't too worried. They had 4 cans of gin and tonic for sustenance while they waited!
