A Day Worth Recording

Potteries

Tomorrow is Mark's funeral so this evening we made our way up the A14, M1 and A50 to Staffordshire where some friends from university days had kindly offered to put us up for the night.

They live within walking distance of one of the canals that cross this area and we greatly enjoyed the walk along the canalside. Simply talking with friends not connected with the current traumas was hugely welcome.

I grew up in this area, 'the potteries', which is how come my sister's family are still up here. There's still much that I recognise, which brings back memories of my parents and past friendships.
