Dimanche

The faithful gather for mass in the ancient basilica of Notre Dame-fin-de-la-terre in Soulac. Standing room only! This church was restored in the 1860s from the ruin that had been filled with sand for centuries. The acoustics are amazing and I would love to attend one of the concerts that are held there regularly; unfortunately none are scheduled during our stay.
