The Quick and The Tiny
Some Sweat Bees stop and strip a flower of it's pollen by crawling along the surface, working every stamen, one by one... Thus allowing me the time to focus... But not these guys! I try, day after day, to snap images of these minuscule babies. Day after day, I come up short.
Tonight, with fresh bee balm blossoms lit up by the evening sun, I gave it another try. It took many approaches, as these guys seem to be camera shy; but I finally got a few keepers. (To give you a better idea of their size, see the extras, and keep in mind that the blossom is about the size of a golf ball).
