Bastille

So, the reason that we're in France in the first place is that my eldest daughter's dance school from Edinburgh was doing a performance at Disneyland Paris today, in one off the theatre spaces at lunchtime. So, up early, in the park before it opened to the general public and then various backstage stuff before the actual show. Come lunchtime - she did absolutely great, very proud of her. Well done you!

And, then the rest of the day was spent in something of a blur of sweltering heat with various rides, stops for ice-cream, the odd restorative espresso, the occasional sit-down to catch one's breath, and all culminating in the Bastille Day fireworks before the usual Disney fireworks show after that. All back to the hotel just before midnight and I think that as I sat in the bar by mesen with a solitary beer and my phone for the Tour De France results-checking on the wifi I couldnt remember a longer day! All good tho', maybe a slightly later start to the day tomorrow is in order however...
