Konkordiaplatz

We took the first train up to the Jungfraujoch (3454 m) and then enjoyed this beautiful view towards the Aletsch Glacier. Konkordiaplatz is the place where 3 smaller glaciers come together, creating these two typical moraine bands.

It was a good decision to leave the busy 'Top of Europe' and took the easy walk to the Mönchsjoch Hut (3658 m). It is an astonishing building and being a starting point for serious alpinists, it is no wonder that they serve the first breakfast from 3.00-3.30 am.
