Ceviche
About once a week I like to treat myself to this coastal specialty - fish 'cooked' with lime juice and served with plantain chips. For $2.50 I can get a nice sized bowl of the ambrosia in a corner store by the market in López. Ceviche is often associated with hangovers so I have to watch my reputation as I frequent the place. Here in Manabí people add not only ketchup and mustard to their ceviche but also peanut butter. Oh god.
