We've had some torrential downpours today!

I took this from our bedroom window this evening, when I got back from mums....around 9pm. As I was driving home I could see the sky becoming very dramatic as the sun was going down, but by the time I got home the sun had set so I was a little despondent, until hub called me to look out of the lounge window. Grabbed the camera a quick dash upstairs and as luck would have it, as the clouds moved across, they revealed the moon :-)

Mum said she been in a bit of tis this morning, when me and sis got to her house, after our Pilates class.....she had slept in, so had been trying to rush to get ready, forgetting that we were going to Pilates first :-/ needless to say she was sat in the chair with a cup of tea, and some toasted fruit bread when we arrived, saying she'd been waiting ages and was starving ;-) She didn't have any lunch as such when we went out, but did manage to polish off a large sultana scone, slathered in butter......nothing wrong with her appetite :-)

Whilst in the garden centre, we spotted a tiny finch flying around, apparently it had got free from one of the cages inside and so far they'd not managed to catch it; sis got close, but it flew off again! They were hoping it would get tired and then they would recapture it.... Hopefully before it flew out the large sliding doors, as it wouldn't survive in the wild.

Sis had made a lovely gooseberry crumble,,using some of our gooseberries that she brought for mum, so we had some after our dinner tonight........it was delish!

Emily was back from her dads when I got home.........she was ready for bed, but watching Gnomeo and Juliet, she managed a "Hi Grandma" but then went back to her film ;-) she has had a lovely surprise from her dad today, he told her that they are going on holiday on Sunday to Lanzarote........excited.com !!!

Weather forecast is supposed to be better tomorrow and Thursday, they best be right!!
