I wish I believed this quote

I drive by one of the entrances of the Mount Auburn Cemetery every day on my commute to work and today took this close-up photo of the inscription at the top of one of the pillars st the entrance. Sometimes I believe this quote, but most times I do not. I wish I had a strong belief in something, but I seem to be on an ongoing search.
