Miracle of the Falls

We went on the Maid of the Mist today and heard the incredible story of Roger Woodward, who in 1960 at the age of 7 was involved in a boating accident on the Niagara River. From the capsized boat he was hurtled down river and over the Horseshoe Falls in only his swimming trunks and a basic life jacket, just at the time the Maid of the Mist was making its journey towards the Falls. He was rescued from the water virtually unhurt, at a spot roughly behind the boat's position in this picture, and hence has been known as the Miracle of the Falls.

Having today watched the thundering waters crashing onto the rocks below, I would most definitely agree that this was indeed a miracle. Check out the full story on the Internet - it's amazing.
