Silverton and the Sculpture Park
Penny and I started the day, hunting the elusive Sturt's Desert Pea - with success! Trish went for a wander around town. Late morning we journeyed out to Silverton, took a wrong turn and went past a black field of solar panelling that, when finished will power 17,000 homes. It was a wonderful sight and must have escaped Tony's notice as work was still continuing!
After a great hamburger at the Silverton pub, we went around to the Gaol and associated museum which took up the rest of our stay. What a fabulous museum and I had to drag Penny and Trish out of it in order to be on time to meet up with Zoe after her work.
Zoe took us out to the wonderful sculpture park for the sunset watch - lots of people there, but they all gradually left until we were the last there with our champagne and the most magnificent sky. The rangers followed us out with one minute to spare before the gates were shut.
