Eurasian Coot

Took our first trip to the regional Botanic Gardens today. 31 hectares in all with a lake and various walks through different displays. This Eurasian Coot was swimming in the lake along with Swamphens (see extra) and ducks. The egret posed just long enough (extra) Will be going back to the gardens in a few weeks when more flowers are about.
