reptile "selfie"

This grandson has been fascinated with reptiles since he was very little; he was wading in the neighbors pond when he was about 4 years old looking for salamanders. At 7 he found every kind of native lizards in Hawaii while we were there on vacation. But at 15, I thought he would ignore a salamander I saw in the garden; but, NO, he picked it up and took a "selfie" with it. I LOVE it that he is able to still be a  kid.....he is my fishing buddy too. 

I got up really early (for me) today, so it is seeming like a longer than normal day; I suppose I need to go to bed so I can catch up on my sleep. But night is when I feel most awake.  ;-(

I did finish my big project yesterday. Feels good.
