Not a Silhouette

It seems that recently when I have gone after a photo of a blue heron, I have walked away with a silhouette.

So I guess this shot is a change.  :-)

The herons continue to be actively feeding their young.  I got this shot just after it brought food back to the nest and is now flying off for more.

The young are really getting large and look so similar to the adults.

Does anyone know when this should end?

I was just a little surprised that they were still raising their broods and haven't yet flown off.
