Trinidad, Cuba

Having started Cuba with the craziness of Havana we decided to head into the country to Trinidad, an incredibly charming and small colonial coastal town where the Cuban culture is still extremely strong but the vibe is a lot more relaxed.
Over the last few days; We've cycled 14km to the white sand and warm water of Playa Ancon while dodging the donkeys and horse and carts en route, wandered the cobblestone streets past more musicians and impressive colonial architecture, and eaten great food including cheap lobster.
Every night in Trinidad has ended up at Casa de la Musica where we've enjoyed incredible salsa dancing by the locals to live music with some Bucanero beers and Mojitos . Our first night we headed there with a German couple Toby and Zaskia who were also staying at our Casa and it was so good we've gone back every night since.
Casa Lillian, where we are staying, is amazing. Lillian is such a nice person and her 14 year old son Sergio speaks extremely good English, while her husband Ivan is always smiling and a good man to know if you're in need of cigars. We've spent hours each day chatting to the family and finding out all about Cuba and Trinidad.
Tomorrow we're heading back to Havana for a night before flying back to Mexico but already Cuba has offered us so much with the craziness and uniqueness of Havana balanced with the warmth and laid back attitude of Trinidad.
