Spoon Carving

I went on a spoon carving course today. I had wanted to give this a go for a while so I booked onto a course that I found in Berkshire and I spent the day with a guy in his wood being shown how to create a spoon from a log! This photo shows the 'spoon blank' which is when you have formed the rough shape with an axe from the log, I then spent a few hours with knives and hook knives hollowing out the bowl and forming the rest of the spoon shape.
