What a difference a day makes.

No, not the 1934 song, later made popular by Dinah Washington, but the weather down here yesterday. 

After a long run of exceptionally hot days over the last 6 weeks or so, yesterday was suddenly a March day with the temperature dropping to a mere 22 degrees. 

Today thank goodness, normal service is resumed with the sun shining and the thermometer rising. 

Very strange, as the forecast is hot, hot, hot again for the rest of August. Which is just as well as we investigated the red inflatable in the photo for next week when the grandchildren arrive. You get towed round at high speed and then thrown into the water. 

Grandma can't wait to take them out on it.
