A very different sky...

from yesterday's gloomy one.

A super early walk on Harden moor saw this great sky dominate the scenery.

The bracken is high and there were moments when we almost lost each other! There are also lots of bilberries for those with the patience to collect them. A bilberry pie was a great favourite when I was a child not just for the flavour but to show off your purple tongue after eating it!
It will be another week or two before the heather is at its best.

A perfect start to the day but it starting to cloud up a bit now.
